Job Summary
Obtain medical history, vital signs, and intake; perform procedures including venipuncture, IV insertion, and urinary catheterization; administer oral, rectal, IM, and IV medications. Assist the physician with total patient care, positioning, and comfort during x-rays while maintaining exam room supplies and sterilization standards. Respond to patient emergencies, perform monthly quality control checks, and support urgent care flow metrics. Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to safety protocols. Requires active state nursing license, BLS, pediatric experience, and competency with nursing procedures.

- Prior experience and competency with nursing procedures
- IV placement competency
- Urinary straight catheterization competency
- Medication administration competency
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Knowledge of medical practice and terminology
- Knowledge of clinic's processes and procedures
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments
- Skill in rapid assessment of the critical presentation of the pediatric population
- Ability to use sound reasoning and judgment
