Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to pediatric behavioral health patients in an acute care/academic medical center setting in Syracuse, NY. Administer medications, monitor patient safety and behavior, document patient progress, collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team, implement therapeutic interventions, and support patient and family education. Requires LPN licensure in NY, CPR certification, and at least 1 year of psychiatric/inpatient nursing experience; EMR experience preferred. Day shift, full-time role with some weekends/holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current New York State LPN license
- CPR certification (or ability to obtain/re-certify)
- Minimum 1 year of LPN experience; psychiatric experience required; inpatient experience preferred
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) strongly preferred
