Job Summary
Nursing role in a correctional setting requiring LPN licensure with weekend part-time shifts. Responsibilities include administering medications, medical intakes and eligibility for incarceration, responding to sick calls, changing dressings, conducting 14-day physicals, managing chronic care, providing patient education, and responding to emergencies. Must maintain pharmacology knowledge (drug reactions/overdose, formulary vs non-formulary, medication costs) and provide guidance to Medically Trained Personnel as needed, while complying with all applicable laws and regulations. Shift available: 7 AM–3 PM, every other weekend or every weekend at LaGrange County Jail, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Valid LPN licensure
- Valid CPR certification
Additional Requirements
- Must be able to stand for extended periods
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
