Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to seniors in a long-term care environment during overnight shifts (10:30pm–6:30am). Administer medications and treatments as ordered, perform resident assessments, document interactions and outcomes, and participate in care planning within an interdisciplinary team. Maintain resident safety, comfort, and confidentiality; demonstrate nursing knowledge across populations per care plan; and support resident education. This Part-Time role includes every other weekend and rotating holidays, with additional shift differentials on weekends and overnights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- If IV therapy/management required in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program including IV therapy or IV Therapy course approval
- Minimum of 400 hours of supervised clinical experience across the life span or equivalent
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training
- Ability to perform testing and administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Demonstrates knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-care program
- Willingness to work Overnights (10:30pm-6:30am) and every other weekend/rotating holidays
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Compliance with pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Desire to contribute to an interdisciplinary care team
- Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
