Job Summary
Part-time LPN position delivering professional nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, working overnights 10:30pm–6:30am with every-other-weekend and rotating holidays. The role includes assessing residents, administering medications or treatments as ordered, documenting interactions and outcomes, communicating with residents, families, and the care team, and supporting care plans under supervision of a RN or physician. Requires graduation from an accredited practical nursing program, an active LPN license, and annual CEU/competency training; IV therapy requirements may apply depending on location. Eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonus; compensation is $27.00–$36.00 per hour with additional weekend/overnight differentials. Responsibilities also include ensuring resident safety, confidentiality, and collaboration within an interdisciplinary team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current unencumbered LPN license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, ND requires graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
- Minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility (or supervised clinical experience across lifespan as part of pre-licensure program)
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements
- Knowledge of nursing principles; ability to administer medications or treatments as ordered; documentation of resident interactions; participate in interdisciplinary care team; maintain confidentiality
