Job Summary
As a part-time LPN at Octapharma Plasma, you will perform medical evaluations of potential donors for plasmapheresis procedures, determine donor suitability in consultation with a physician, provide limited emergency care, and conduct evaluations ensuring compliance with donor criteria. Essential skills include empathy, customer service, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The job requires a licensed LPN, current CPR certification, and basic computer skills. Experience in a healthcare setting, preferably related to plasma donation, is highly valued.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from a recognized healthcare educational program
- Current licensure as an LPN specific to the location of employment
- Current certification in CPR
- Ability to educate donors, staff, and community regarding our plasma donation program
- Must maintain current and valid license and pass medical credential evaluation
- Must maintain current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification
- Basic computer proficiency; Microsoft Word and Excel preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Blood bank or plasma center experience
- One or more years of hospital, field care, or plasma center experience
Additional Requirements
- Must work within the scope of the professional license/certification, as defined by the state in which the work is performed
- Specific state licensing requirements must be met per location
