Job Summary
Coordinate physical, social, and emotional aspects of assisted living care according to physician orders and resident choices. Execute medication management plans, conduct continuous assessments of resident needs, and ensure wellness and safety with appropriate documentation. Respond to emergencies timely and report incidents or condition changes to the Healthcare Director. Assist with meal delivery, monitor diet acceptance, and provide thorough shift change reports to the nursing team. Supervise CNAs and RMA staff while maintaining high standards for record keeping and staff documentation. Identify risk factors, initiate interventions, and participate in all community activities.
Required Qualifications
- Current LPN license to practice nursing in the state in which the community is located, holding a license in good standing with the Board of Nursing
- Experience working with the senior population, preferably in assisted living or LTC
- Must be a team player who works well with others and has experience supervising staff
- Must possess critical thinking skills, ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing
- Demonstrated ability to manage time efficiently with strong organizational skills
- Must be in good physical condition and be able to sit, stand, bend, kneel, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be willing to work an 8-16 hour flexible schedule to include weekends and holidays
- Must be certified or willing to take and pass the certification class required by the state in which employed
