Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) under supervision, administering medications and treatments, performing assessments, and documenting outcomes. Demonstrates knowledge of nursing principles and applies age- and population-specific standards per the care plan. Supports residents’ health, safety, and comfort, collaborates with healthcare professionals, communicates clearly with residents and families, and contributes to the interdisciplinary team. Evening, part-time role with potential shift differentials; requires licensure and ongoing continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- Current unencumbered LPN license with state nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Ability to perform testing and evaluate data reflected in residents’ status
- Experience in documentation of resident interactions and outcomes
- Competencies in medications/treatments administration and care planning
- Completion of CEU and competency trainings as required by department/facility
- IV therapy/management skills as applicable per state requirements (e.g., ND)
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team
