Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents in a long-term care setting under supervision, applying nursing principles to meet physical and psychosocial needs per care plans. Administer medications and treatments, perform testing to evaluate residents’ status, recognize problems, and respond to emergent situations. Document resident interactions and outcomes, support an interdisciplinary care team, and communicate clearly while maintaining confidentiality. Requires an LPN license, an associate degree in practical nursing is preferred, evening shifts with differential for after-hours and weekends, and eligibility for required certifications and continuing education. This part-time evening role emphasizes compassionate, high-quality care in a not-for-profit, Christian environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Possess an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- If position requires IV therapy/management in North Dakota: graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the ND Board of Nursing
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience or have at least 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Maintains required department competencies and certifications and completes CEUs annually
