Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, administer medications and treatments as ordered, document resident interactions and outcomes, and contribute to care planning within an interdisciplinary team. Must hold an unencumbered LPN license; position is part-time with evening shifts and a shift differential after 6pm and on weekends. Responsibilities include assessing residents, education, and ensuring health, safety and confidentiality in care delivery; requires completion of an accredited LPN program and current licensure.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Possess an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
