Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, including administering medications and treatments, documenting resident interactions and outcomes, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team. Demonstrates nursing competencies, recognizes problems, and responds to emergent situations; supports resident education and care plans, while maintaining confidentiality and effective communication with residents, families, and healthcare providers.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred.
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board.
- Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility.
