Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care for residents in long-term care under supervision, administering medications and treatments as ordered, participating in an interdisciplinary care team, and documenting resident interactions. Responsibilities include evaluating resident data, recognizing problems, recommending and implementing solutions, ensuring resident health, comfort and safety, counseling residents and families on prevention and treatment plans, and maintaining confidentiality. Requires completion of an accredited LPN program and an active LPN license; evening part-time shifts with differential after 6pm and on weekends; ongoing CEU and competency training; ability to work within the care plan and collaborate with colleagues to support resident needs.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current LPN license in state; multi-state licensure privileges or eligible
- Annual continuing education and competency requirements
- Experience with administering medications and procedures in long-term care settings
- Ability to work evenings and weekends; shift differentials applicable
