Job Summary
Provide direct nursing care to residents and supervise Certified Nursing Assistants under the direction of the Director of Nursing. Admit, transfer, and discharge residents while managing medication administration, diagnostic services, and care plan revisions. Conduct daily rounds to monitor resident status, ensure compliance with state and federal standards, and maintain accurate charting and documentation. Participate in facility surveys, quality assurance programs, and staff training initiatives. Ensure infection control protocols and safety regulations are followed throughout the unit.
Required Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered license to practice as a nurse in PA and will remain in good standing with the State Board of Nursing
- Ability to maintain all required continuing education
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Clear Cisive Background Check- last 7 years reviewed
- Active CPR Certification
- Must meet the general health requirements set forth by the policies of this facility, which include a physical examination and 2-step PPD or equivalent
- Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of other individuals in the workplace
- Must be able to cope with the mental and emotional stress of the position
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Point Click Care is preferred
- Active CPR Certification (BLS PREFERRED with Skills)
