Job Summary
Conduct practical nursing support in physician practice and clinic settings, including patient assessments, specimen collection, medication administration, and patient teaching. Coordinate tele-retinal and tele-dermatology clinic setups while maintaining exam and treatment rooms in a clean, safe manner. Perform lab procedures such as phlebotomy and urine collection, or operate x-ray equipment as directed by the provider, adhering to all safety and quality control standards. Document patient information in the electronic medical record and assist with referral authorizations. Requires current Virginia LPN licensure, one year of physician office experience preferred, and AHA BLS-HCP certification. Full-time day shift position with a salary range of $21.61 - $30.25.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of practical nursing
- Current licensure as a Practical Nurse in the State of Virginia (LPN)
- Current AHA BLS-HCP certification
- Customer driven demeanor
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Professional appearance and approach
- Ability to problem-solve
- Ability to communicate with a wide variety of people in an effective manner
- Skills to utilize automated computer systems, including electronic medical records
- Keyboarding skills
