Job Summary
Provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse or licensed prescriber using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care across departments. Ensure patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires current Missouri LPN license, BLS certification, and LPN-IV certification. Full-time schedule of 36 hours per week, days shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Physical demands include frequent standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and patient turning.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in Missouri
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- LPN-IV Certification
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
