Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or licensed prescriber. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Hold a current Missouri LPN license, BLS certification, and LPN-IV certification. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including frequent standing, walking, and patient lifting up to 50 lbs. Full-time days shift from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in Missouri
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association
- LPN-IV Certification
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
