Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process for assigned patients in the Orthopedics unit. Maintain professional accountability while coordinating care across departments and ensuring patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including frequent standing, walking, and patient lifting/turning. Requires current Missouri LPN licensure, BLS certification, and LPN-IV certification. Full-time day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM with a sign-on bonus available. Join a collaborative team at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in Missouri
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
