Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned orthopedics patients under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse. Maintain professional accountability for patient care while coordinating with other departments and safeguarding patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including frequent standing, walking, and patient lifting. Requires current Missouri LPN licensure, BLS certification, and LPN-IV certification. Full-time day shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Join a collaborative team at Mercy Hospital South.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Current LPN license in Missouri
- Meeting all State Board of Nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)
- Ability to push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs
- Full-Time employment classification
- Day Shift availability (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- 36 hours/week schedule availability
