Job Summary
Administer prescribed medications, monitor clients, and provide first aid and treatment to injured or ill residents. Document all care in medical records, ensure facility compliance with ICF/DD regulations, and maintain accurate counts of controlled substances. Train residents in self-medication programs, give tube feedings, and sterilize or bandage minor injuries. Visit clients three to four times daily to chart medications and notify families of infectious diseases. Requires a current Arkansas LPN or RN license, high school equivalency, and ability to drive to various locations in Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent of four years in high school, plus night, trade extension, or correspondence school and/or specialized training, equal to two years of college
- Current Arkansas State License as a Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse License
- Current Arkansas driver's license
- Current auto liability insurance
- Physical ability to drive to various locations in Arkansas
- Ability to continuously talk or hear
- Ability to regularly stand
- Ability to regularly sit
- Ability to use hands to finger
- Ability to handle
- Ability to feel
- Ability to reach with hands and arms
