Job Summary
Assess, plan, and deliver comprehensive healthcare to patients by administering medications, performing medical intakes, and managing chronic care. Respond to sick call requests, medical emergencies, and provide patient education on health concerns. Perform 14-day physicals, check and change dressings, and be capable of life-saving measures and directing Medically Trained Personnel as needed. Maintain working knowledge of pharmacology and comply with all state, federal, and local laws. Valid RN or LPN licensure and CPR certification required; must be able to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and push, pull, and bend frequently. Nightshift PRN available 6AM to 6PM or 6PM to 6AM at Porter County Jail in Valparaiso, Indiana, with potential neighboring county coverage.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN or LPN licensure
- Valid CPR certification
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend frequently
- Must be capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
