Job Summary
Deliver professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Administer medications and treatments as ordered while ensuring the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Perform testing to evaluate resident status, contribute to assessments, and counsel families on prevention and treatment plans. Document resident interactions, outcomes, and dietary activities accurately. Maintain effective relationships with interdisciplinary care teams and communicate clearly while preserving confidentiality. Work 36 weekly hours in 12-hour day shifts at Hoeger House, a senior care community within the Good Samaritan network.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
