Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) working in the Emergency Department, performing direct nursing care under RN supervision, collecting and documenting patient data, reinforcing patient education, and assisting with discharge preparation. Requires an Indiana LPN license and graduation from an LPN program; BLS mandatory, ACLS preferred; responsibilities span implementing nursing care, medication administration, documentation, patient advocacy, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support patient care planning and outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program
- Valid Indiana LPN license
- BLS certification
- ACLS preferred (within multiple departments)
- CPR/CPR training as applicable
- 20+ years of age for Paramedic track (if applicable)
- One year of pre-hospital emergency care preferred (Paramedic track)
