Job Summary
Perform patient care activities and assist providers and nursing staff to maintain the highest standard of practice in accordance with state licensure regulations. Restock supplies in the work area and maintain a safe working environment while taking vital signs, providing patient education, and managing emergency situations with calm and effective reactions. Establish effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff, and the public while utilizing diagnostic equipment and electronic systems for ordering and medical records. Communicate clearly by responding to detailed oral and written instructions and assume responsibility for professional growth and development.
Required Qualifications
- Currently licensed as an LPN in the State of Missouri
- BLS certification
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical or vocational nursing program
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA)
- Basic computer skills
- Skill in taking vital signs
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, physicians, staff and the public
- Ability to maintain quality control standard and maintain calm and effective reactions during emergency situations
- Ability to communicate clearly, as well as understanding and responding to detailed oral and written instructions
- Ability to learn and efficiency utilize diagnostic equipment, electronic systems for ordering, medical records and other common computer programs
- Ability to learn and perform diagnostic testing/procedures such as x-rays and non-waived testing
