Job Summary
Render direct patient care to an assigned group of patients in accordance with Northside Hospital's philosophy, policies, and procedures. Participate in the planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care while working under the direction of a Registered Nurse in an assigned clinical area. As part of the Licensed Practical Nurse – Nursing Excellence Track Program (L-NEXT), expand knowledge and expertise through academic and continuing education to pursue specialty certification and career advancement. Maintain current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Georgia and hold American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Work shifts from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with no weekend or on-call requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursing
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Georgia
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year of experience as an LPN
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units
