LPN in Endo Suite at Gastroenterology Associates of Tidewater (One GI) in Chesapeake, VA, full-time, Monday–Friday 7:00am–4:30pm, no nights or weekends. Gather focused assessment data (vital signs, LOC); administer topical, oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, and sublingual medications (not IV); perform IV insertion as applicable; conduct safety checks of emergency equipment; respond to emergencies; maintain controlled-substance integrity; perform point-of-care testing (blood glucose, CLO tests, pregnancy tests); calibrate monitoring devices (BP, EKG, IV infusion systems); accurately document vital signs; demonstrate equipment use and specimen collection; identify and report abnormal findings to supervisor and physician; practice infection control and standard precautions; maintain supplies and monitor expiration dates; requires graduation from an approved LPN program, active licensure, and Basic Life Support; IV infusion therapy training completed; SGNA membership recommended.
