Job Summary
Assess and manage patients' total needs following physician orders with RN oversight, performing routine nursing procedures including medication administration, port access, and sterile techniques. Coordinate care and services with RNs and other team members to develop and revise individual plans of care, while providing patient and caregiver education using teach-back methods. Ensure accurate documentation within established timeframes, manage voice mail and phone calls, and participate in staff meetings, in-services, and continuing education. Serve as a preceptor for new LPN colleagues and delegate tasks to unlicensed staff as appropriate. Work Monday through Thursday 8:00 AM–4:30 PM and Friday 8:00 AM–3:00 PM, with local travel required and float capability between Cobb Hospital HODs within 35 miles.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma General or GED General or Other / Certificate Nursing
- LPN - Lic Practical Nurse
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Previous healthcare experience
- Experience in oncology, ambulatory, outpatient setting
- Positive leadership

- Computer skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Georgia drivers license
- Scheduling flexibility
- Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AMâ€"4:30 PM, and Friday, 8:00 AMâ€"3:00 PM
- Local travel required
- Float staff will be required to float between Cobb Hospital HOD's based on need
