Job Summary
Assess and manage patients' total needs following physician orders with RN oversight, performing routine nursing procedures and administering medications within scope. Coordinate care and services with RNs and other team members, informing supervisors of condition changes and collaborating to revise individual plans of care. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while serving as an educator to foster self-care, utilizing teach-back methods to ensure understanding. Complete accurate documentation within established timeframes, check voice mail and emails for triage duties, and delegate tasks to unlicensed staff as appropriate. Participate in orientation, in-services, and continuing education to maintain current clinical knowledge for oncology patients. Float between Cobb Hospital HODs based on need, with local travel required.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma General or GED General or Other / Certificate Nursing
- LPN - Lic Practical Nurse
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Previous healthcare experience
- Experience in oncology, ambulatory, outpatient setting
- Positive leadership
- Problem solving skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong assessment and clinical skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Computer skills
- Reliable transportation
- Valid Georgia drivers license
- Scheduling flexibility
