Gather patient measurements, collect data, and record findings for patients, families, and caregivers in Medical Group practices. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments while performing supportive care tasks under the direction of licensed healthcare providers or registered professional nurses. Assist with self-care and self-management plans, maintaining equipment and supplies to ensure a safe, clean work environment. Utilize standard precautions at all times and respond to patient requests by communicating effectively with licensed providers. Maintain technical knowledge through workshops, in-services, and department meetings while engaging in quality improvement initiatives. Collaborate with physicians, RNs, and multidisciplinary teams to advocate for patient health within the NYS Nurse Practice Act.
