Job Summary
Assist with procedures and implement care interventions while promoting high-quality patient care in a professional, efficient, and safe manner. Introduce yourself to patients, escort them into exam rooms, and prepare them for exams and procedures. Administer medications including injections and IV therapy, provide basic patient care such as wound dressing and catheterizations, and collect and process specimens accurately. Enter patient information into the computer and manage the physician's desktop. Provide personal assistance, medical attention, and emotional support to patients. Manage time efficiently to maintain patient flow and schedule follow-up appointments. Work under the supervision of a physician or registered nurse in a specialty department at Starling Physicians.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of LPN school program
- Current licensure as LPN in state of Connecticut
- Must work under the supervision of the physician or Registered Nurse
Desired Qualifications
- IV and/or phlebotomy skills
