Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in long-term care under the supervision of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider, or physician. Perform testing to evaluate resident status, administer medications or treatments as ordered, and ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents. Document resident interactions, outcomes related to care and medication, and counsel residents, family members, or advocates on prevention and treatment plans. Contribute to resident assessments and establish effective working relationships within the interdisciplinary care team. Requires an unencumbered LPN license, current CEUs, and competency training; IV therapy skills required for specific positions. Full-time or part-time 12-hour night shifts available with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits including health, dental, vision, and 401(k).
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Must have attended a pre-licensure nursing program that included supervised clinical experience across the life span as part of the curriculum or have had a minimum of 400 hours of experience as LPN at another facility
- Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges
- Completes required annual continuing education units (CEU) and competency training requirements of the department and facility
- If position requires IV therapy/management skills, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing
Desired Qualifications
- Associate degree in practical nursing is preferred
