Job Summary
Provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse (RN) or licensed personnel using the nursing process to prescribe medication and treatment. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients and coordinate care across departments. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including frequent standing, walking, bending, and patient lifting. New graduates and experienced LPNs are welcome, with LPN-IV certification required prior to hire or within three months.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- Must hold and maintain a current LPN license in Missouri and meet all State Board of Nursing requirements
- LPN-IV Certification completed prior to hire or within 3 months (up to 1 year based on unit requirements)
- Frequent standing and walking throughout shift
- Significant bending, stooping, and patient lifting/turning with assistance
