Job Summary
Prepare examination and treatment areas, perform patient rooming procedures including vital signs and data collection, and accurately administer and document medications. Administer nursing procedures and treatments within scope, perform and document assessments, apply clinical interventions, and evaluate outcomes in collaboration with the RN. Provide preapproved patient education materials, reinforce health teaching, and complete independent nurse visits as allowed. Assist in managing the inbox, completing patient referrals, and participating in onboarding and mentoring of clinical staff. Ensure documentation is accurate and concise. Requires ability to work assigned schedules and hours, including very heavy physical exertion.
Required Qualifications
- Completion of a nursing education program that is approved by a board of nursing
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - South Dakota Board of Nursing or Wyoming Board of Nursing for Wyoming facilities
- Requires the ability to work assigned schedules and hours as determined by the department
- Very Heavy work - exerting over 25 pounds of force constantly (67-100% of the time), and/or more than 50 pounds frequently (34-66% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force occassionally (up to 33% of the time), and/or more than 100 pounds of force seldomly to move objects
- Possible exposure to radiation and frequent exposure to contaminated needles and infectious body substances
