Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for critically ill post-operative trauma, stroke, and medical overflow patients in the 16-bed Progressive Care Unit. Manage common therapies including lumbar drains, external ventricular drains, antidysrhythmic drips, vasopressors, and high-flow oxygen systems while coordinating care with other departments. Maintain professional accountability and patient confidentiality under RN supervision. This intermediate ICU role offers opportunities to cross-train within the Critical Care Cluster and transition into ICU units via an 18-month career path program.
