Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, managing complex assessments for COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, pneumonia, and tracheostomy patients. Coordinate care for acute stroke and TIA patients with the Stroke Coordinator, utilizing tele-neuro services when available. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, ensuring their rights and confidentiality are protected while delivering aggressive therapies and continuous nursing vigilance. Requires current LPN license, practical nursing degree, and BLS/IV certification.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- IV Certification within 1 year
