Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, utilizing the nursing process for complex assessments of COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia patients. Manage acute stroke and TIA patients in coordination with the Stroke Coordinator, including care for those on high flow oxygen, BiPAP, or with tracheostomies and chest tubes. Deliver stroke education and maintain patient confidentiality while ensuring professional accountability for assigned patients. Requires a current LPN license, Practical Nursing Degree, BLS, and IV certification.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- IV Certification within 1 year
