Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, utilizing the nursing process for complex assessments of COPD, respiratory failure, and acute stroke/TIA patients. Manage patients requiring high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, or chest tubes while coordinating care with the Stroke Coordinator and tele-neuro services. Deliver stroke education and maintain patient confidentiality. Requires current LPN license, BLS certification, and IV skills. PRN schedule available in Festus, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- IV Certification within 1 year
