Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, utilizing the nursing process for complex assessments of patients with COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, pneumonia, or tracheostomies. Coordinate care for acute stroke and TIA patients, including stroke education, while maintaining vigilance for subtle condition changes. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, ensuring confidentiality and rights. Requires current LPN license, Practical Nursing Degree, BLS, and IV certification. PRN schedule available in Festus, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- IV Certification within 1 year
