Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, utilizing the nursing process for complex assessments of COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, pneumonia, and acute stroke/TIA patients. Manage patients requiring high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, or chest tubes while coordinating care with the Stroke Coordinator and tele-neuro services. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, ensuring stroke education is delivered and patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Requires current LPN license, Practical Nursing Degree, BLS, and IV certification within one year.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- IV Certification within 1 year
