Job Summary
Provide patient care on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit under RN supervision, utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients. Conduct frequent assessments for subtle condition changes in neuro patients and manage complex cases involving COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, pneumonia, high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, and chest tubes. Coordinate care with the Stroke Coordinator for acute stroke and TIA patients, while delivering stroke education and maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Requires current LPN license, Practical Nursing Degree, BLS, and IV certification. Available for PRN shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- IV Certification within 1 year
