Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, utilizing the nursing process for complex assessments of COPD, respiratory failure, and acute stroke/TIA patients. Coordinate care with the Stroke Coordinator and manage patients requiring high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, or chest tubes. Deliver stroke education and maintain vigilance for subtle condition changes. Requires current LPN license, practical nursing degree, BLS, and IV certification. PRN schedule available in Festus, MO.
Required Qualifications
- Practical Nursing Degree from an accredited school
- current LPN license in our state or can be obtained within 90 days
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association
- IV Certification within 1 year
