LPN (Neuro) - PRN - Mercy Jefferson

Conduct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit, utilizing the nursing process for assigned patients. Perform frequent assessments to detect subtle changes in condition for acute stroke, TIA, COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, and pneumonia patients, many of whom require complex interventions like high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, or chest tube management. Collaborate with the Stroke Coordinator and utilize tele-neuro services as needed while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Provide stroke education to patients and families. Maintain professional accountability for care coordination with other departments.
