LPN (Neuro) - PRN - Mercy Jefferson

Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care under the supervision of a Registered Professional Nurse for assigned patients on the Neuro/Pulmonary Stroke Unit. Coordinate care for patients with COPD, respiratory failure, asthma, pneumonia, or those requiring high-flow oxygen, BiPAP, tracheostomies, or chest tubes. Conduct frequent assessments to detect subtle changes in condition for acute stroke and TIA patients while working closely with the Stroke Coordinator. Provide stroke education and maintain patient rights and confidentiality of information. Maintain professional accountability for the provision of patient care and coordinate with other departments.
