Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in assisted living under RN supervision. Demonstrate competency in age and population-specific standards for physical and psychosocial needs, including administering medications and treatments as ordered. Perform testing to evaluate resident status, recognize problems, and respond effectively to emergent situations. Ensure health, comfort, and safety while documenting interactions, outcomes, and dietary needs. Counsel residents and family members on prevention and treatment plans under RN direction. Work evening shifts for 24 weekly hours at $27.32-$34.84 with a $3.00 hourly premium and $6,000 bonus.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice
- Ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status
- Ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation
- Ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team
- Ability to communicate clearly and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Counseling ability with residents, family members and/or resident advocate under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician
- Knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-care program
