Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse provides professional nursing care for residents in assisted living under supervision, demonstrates nursing principles for residents, performs testing to evaluate resident status, administers medications or treatments as ordered, documents resident interactions and outcomes, contributes to resident assessment, collaborates with an interdisciplinary care team, and counsels residents and families on prevention and treatment plans. Must possess current LPN licensure and operate within the full scope of nursing responsibilities in this setting; night-shift, full-time schedule with competitive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited nursing program leading to Licensed Practical Nurse licensure
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state of practice
- Long term care, sub-acute care, medical/surgical experience preferred (may have additional education, training, or experience requirements)
- Ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status and to provide necessary care
- Demonstrated ability to administer medications or treatments as ordered
- Strong documentation and communication skills
- Work under supervision of RN/advanced practice provider/physician in an assisted living setting
