Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care for residents of all ages in assisted living under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician. Demonstrate competency in administering medications, performing testing to evaluate resident status, and recognizing problems to respond effectively to emergent situations. Ensure the health, comfort, and safety of residents while documenting interactions, outcomes, and care plans. Counsel residents and family members on prevention and treatment plans under direction. Work full-time evening shifts with a 32-hour weekly schedule, earning a salary range of $27.32 to $34.84 plus a $3.00 hourly premium and a $12,000 bonus for eligible employees.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of nursing program leading to licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse
- Current licensure as a practical nurse in the state/states of practice
- Ability to perform testing to evaluate data reflective of the resident's status
- Ability to recognize problems, recommend solutions and respond effectively to assist in an emergent situation
- Ability to work effectively with professional and supportive personnel as a member of an interdisciplinary care team
- Ability to communicate clearly
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Counseling ability with residents, family members and/or resident advocate under the direction of a registered nurse, advanced practice provider or physician
- Knowledge of resident education principles to develop a self-care program
- Drug screen acceptance
- Pre-employment background screening acceptance
