Job Summary
Deliver direct resident/patient care under Registered Nurse supervision, including nursing assessments, medication dispensing, vital checks, wound care, and personal assistance. Accurately document nursing care to meet state and Village requirements and report resident changes to managing staff. Support the Village's PRIDE mission values and may delegate tasks to care givers or perform environmental services as needed. Requires Missouri LPN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Works weekends (every other Saturday/Sunday) part-time with continuous standing and walking demands.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited School of Nursing education
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Valid driver's license
- Basic level knowledge of Microsoft operating system and Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, handbooks and procedure manuals
- Ability to write simple sentences, paragraphs and correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Missouri State Board of Nursing
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
