LPN Medical Oncology

Provides direct patient care to inpatients in a Medical Oncology setting, collaborates with the physician and nursing team, and supports the plan of care. Responsibilities include administering medications and therapies (intramuscular, subcutaneous, IV, oral, nebulization, and MDI), observing and recording patient status, assisting physicians and overseeing staff with examinations and procedures, contributing to nursing assessments, documenting interventions, and educating patients and families. The role requires observation of patient changes, timely reporting, and participation in developing and implementing the care plan. Additional duties include maintaining competency through annual education and working with a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
