Job Summary
Direct patient care as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Med/Surg/Telemetry, providing IV therapy support under RN direction; collaborates with multidisciplinary team, applies the nursing process (data gathering, planning, evaluation), and ensures patient safety and quality care. Maintains professional responsibilities, adheres to compliance standards, and communicates effectively with patients, families and co-workers in a fast-paced unit. Requires current LPN license and BLS, with high school diploma or equivalent; IV therapy credentials preferred. On-site day shifts in Gretna, LA with Ochsner Health.
Required Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Preferred - IV Therapy Credentials
