Job Summary
Licensed Practical Nurse provides direct nursing care under RN supervision in a medical-surgical unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications and treatments, assisting with activities of daily living, documenting care, educating patients/families, and collaborating with healthcare teams to ensure safe, high-quality care and adherence to regulatory standards. The role requires state licensure as LPN/LVN, BCLS, and additional certifications (ACLS/PALS/NRP) as specified, with 0-1 years of LPN experience and Mississippi-specific requirements.
Required Qualifications
- LPN - Licensed Practical Nurse - State Licensure required or LVN - Licensed Vocational Nurse required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
- State Specific Requirements Mississippi ACLS, PALS, NRP certifications required; STABLE certification within 6 months of employment
