Job Summary
Assist the RN in carrying out the plan of care and supplement patient nursing needs under RN direction. Support patients by teaching self-care techniques, assess their response to interventions, and communicate findings to the team. Complete clinical and progress notes documenting outcomes, ensuring timely submission and overall compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Perform other duties as required while providing compassionate care to patients with life-limiting illnesses and their loved ones. Work weekends from 8am to 5pm.
Required Qualifications
- Current Vocational Nurse State License or Practical Nurse License
- Graduate of an accredited school of vocational nursing
- Current Driver's License
- reliable transportation
- provide ongoing valid and current auto liability insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse in a clinical care setting
- hospice or home health preferred
